So... Sprite had her puppies today, right on the day that I had bet on. I'm so proud of her. She's such a good mommy. There are 8 of them, all so small, they fit in the palm of your hand! There are two different colors, black and brown, and they all have white on them, some more than others. I do believe that Codie is thinking to himself... 8 Sprites... Only less grown up, and with less to keep them occupied... My ears are going to be shredded. Mom, when are they leaving, again? You can jsut see the wheels turning in his head, as he looks at you so hopefully... Are you taking them home? Please? Pretty please??

LoL I read so much into my dogs... It's kind of funny. So, I've had I don't know how amny people over this house today. Meagan Breault, Katie- who says she's sleeping here for the next 10 weeks, Auntie Mitch, Nana & Grampa, all of Seth's friends, and... oh, I bleive that's it. LoL I invited Juice and his parents, but... I don't think they're going to show. His mom wanted to know when they were born, so I called and told her, but I think she might've felt she was intruding if she actually came. *shrug* Eh, I can only extend the invite. Same for her son, who... we all know, avoids me like the plague. If I didn't find it so aggravating, I would ahve to laugh. Can you imagine what power that gives a person? Geez... make someone disappear simply by showing your face. Not much for a self-confidence booster, but hey! Whatcha gonna do? Life's not perfect! LoL

Anyway... My riding lesson yesterday was awesome. The new instructor, Cynthia, is great. She teaches like I love to be taught- She's on top of you, always watching, always correcting, but always keeping you intrigued and learning more and more. she said that me and Ally were both extremely talented young riders, and whereas she was expecting a decent rider from both of use, she had not expected the level of competency that she came across. I know I am a decent rider. I can stay on most of the time, and I usually know a bit of what I'm doing, and why. But really, I work mostly off instinct, which she picked up on, and commented on. I found her to be very intuitive and knowledgeable, and I think that we're going to have a lot of fun. At one point, Ralph wanted to like... hit me, I think. I was already being a wise-ass, and it was only our first lesson. But, he relaxed when she laughed and was like,"Okay, smartass, now what's teh real answer?" knowing that I knew, and was jsut giving her a hard time. Testing her, really. Just as the horse tests its rider, the student tests their teacher.

And trust me, Major was testing me last night. Beautiful horse. Stocky little guy, not real small, but built burly, so you didn't really know what size he was, until you were on his back. Solid black, with a glossy coat, nice hooves, though he did need a farrier and he did have a bit of an overreach, clipping himself in the front. Anyway, he tested me solid for the first few rounds at the trot, but I think she was pleased that by the end of the lesson, he had settled down and actually started to really work for his keep. I think with a bit more time, I might ahve actually had him going softly on the bit. But... You pay for an hour, you get an hour. *shrugs* That's how it works. So, anyway, I think my head swelled a bit last night, with her complimenting us both on how well we rode, and how well we handled ourselves. She was impressed with the waty Major swerved out while I was trying to talk to her, and I didn't even fade off in my speech, just sat down and moved with him. So... She continued to pick on me all night long, peppering me with little questions about why, and how, and did you know...? LoL It was fun, and stimulating. She got me thinking, yet learning valuable little things at the same time.

She actually kind of reminded me of Ms. Mosher or Mr. Boucher in the way she taught. Just enough to keep you interested, but then wiht a quick story or fun time in between, to let yourelax and focus again, then back at work. She also noticed my rather short attention span. She asked me a quesiton, while I was visibly not paying attention, then, thinking I wasn't listening, she asked me to repeat what she said. So... when i repeated it verbatim for her, she jsut shook her ehad an laughed. Later in the lesson, when we had gotten down, she was tlaking to me, and I was jsut palying around with major, not really paying any attention, and she, in the middle of her commenting, said, "Well, one of you is always listening, jsut never appears to be listening. LIKE NOW!!" My head snapped up, and I gave a rather sheepish smile... She jsut laughed and continued on, while I went back to playing with Major. I think overall, both me and Ally had a good time, and she was impressed with both of us. Especially since we were riding in sneakers... Heaven forbid!

Anyway... That's a rather long narratice of what was supposed to be two lines. Off to study for my BioTech final tomorrow... AHHH!!!
